NUR 5384 CNS Practicum: Direct Patient Care Sphere
This practicum course is designed to develop vital Clinical Nurse Specialist skills for the organizational/systems sphere of impact. Strategies to assess, analyze and address systems issues, nurses’ work environment, and patient safety/quality outcomes will be presented. Topics include: leading systematic quality/safety improvements in a fiscally responsible manner; cultivating and leading collaborative, inclusive, mutually respectful work environments; addressing gaps in care delivery, and advocating for ethical, equitable healthcare for all patients. 167 Clinical hours; Four synchronous online executive-format seminars.
