Language Certificates: ASL, French, Italian and Spanish
The Department of Languages and Cultures offers a Molloy University Language Certificate. This is a credential confirming that the student has completed a 12 credit-hour program in the study of ASL, French, Italian or Spanish. To qualify, students must have taken at least nine (9) of the twelve (12) credits at Molloy University and received a grade of "B" or higher in the same language. This Certificate can be used for employment purposes, to continue postgraduate studies or to further the students' skills in the language. The Molloy University Language Certificate, while not a New York State Department of Education certificate program, is given by the Department of Languages and Cultures certifying the foundational knowledge and skills in ASL, French, Italian or Spanish. Its aim is to help the student serve effectively in a global society.
