Teaching Certification Requirements

The University offers students the opportunity to prepare for both provisional and permanent teacher certification on both the graduate and undergraduate levels. In addition, the New York State Education Department requires these students to pass qualifying examinations in order to teach in the elementary and secondary schools of New York State as certified teachers.
