Graduation Applications and Approval
All students must file an online Application for Graduation according to the deadlines listed in the Academic Calendar. Students should make certain that their academic records are in proper order and go over their plans of study when they apply to graduate with a degree. Students must complete all courses required for their programs of study by the degree award date. In the event of a required course no longer being offered, the Chairperson or Associate School Dean may approve a substitution with an appropriate course.
To be reviewed and approved for a degree, students must apply. Should the deadline be missed, students may apply for a degree in the next degree period.
Student Affairs hosts the annual Commencement Ceremony. Other celebratory events are held throughout the year, such as pinning and hooding ceremonies and class nights. Information on participation costs may involve purchasing the cap and gown, photos, etc. Attendance is optional for Commencement. Students and their families are not charged an attendance fee.
