SLP 5850 Acquired Neurogenic Disorders
This course will examine acquired neurogenic disorders including Broca’s aphasia, Wernicke’s aphasia, transcortical sensory aphasia, transcortical motor aphasia, conduction aphasia, alexia and agraphia. Recent research and treatment techniques will be discussed. Case studies will be presented emphasizing the etiology, assessment and treatment of language impairments in adults. Field experience may be required.
