Phi Alpha Theta
Phi Alpha Theta is a National History honor society founded in 1921. Its purpose it to recognize and promote high academic achievement in the field of History. The Molloy Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, known as the Alpha-Alpha Sigma, was established in March 1983. The Honor society is open to Juniors and Seniors with a declared major or minor in History. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.1 or better in History and 3.0 overall. They must complete a minimum of 12 credits of coursework in the discipline and at least one upper-level course. The students must rank in the upper third of their class.
