NUR 2290 Pathophysiology

(formerly NUR 229)

This Level II course builds on knowledge from the sciences and the Level I nursing courses. The etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and implications of selected disease processes are introduced. Content includes stress response, deviations in cellular activity, inflammatory processes, immune response, and fluid and electrolyte balance across the lifespan.

BIO 1200, BIO 1210, BIO 2450, CHE 1120; PSY 1110; SOC 1010/SOC 1660 (SOC 2900H for Honors Program students). Pre- or Corequisites: BIO 2470, NUR 1290, NUR 1390, NUR 2260 LPN.
