NUR 5053 Research and Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing

This course focuses on the contribution of research to the body of evidence for nursing practice.  The course includes review and critical evaluation of design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation for both quantitative and qualitative research methods and other sources of evidence. Statistical techniques for evaluation of biomedical data are included. Emphasis is on the professional as consumer and producer of research and the translation of research to advance nursing practice and support health in populations. 45 lecture hours per semester.
