SOC 2710 Sociology of Healthcare

(formerly SOC 271; Medical Sociology)

This class examines major issues of healthcare in the U.S. and other cultures. We will study such subjects as: illness as a social construct, the social structure of health services, medical-model and sociological model, doctor-patient relationship, the medical profession and ethical subject matter.
