MUS 3740 Music Therapy Fieldwork I
(formerly MUS 374; MUS 376 for 2 credits; formerly Clinical Problems in Music Therapy I)
Writing-Intensive Course
Five hours/week field placement plus weekly seminars are combined to provide the student with the opportunity to integrate theory with practice while working with an experienced clinician in a setting with children or adults. Assessment, treatment and evaluation procedures and related clinical issues are explored.
Prerequisite
MUS 2720,
MUS 2730, or permission of the Undergraduate Director of Music Therapy. . (MUS 2740 and MUS 2750 are phased out but allowed in place of
MUS 2720 and
MUS 2730 for students prior to 2015.)
