EDU 5591 Student Teaching Adolescence/Special Education (Grades 10-12)

(formerly EDU 556B)

Student Teaching must be completed in the final semester of the teacher preparation program. Student teachers are required to follow a full-time teaching schedule in an elementary school under the direct supervision of a cooperating teacher from the field and the college supervisor. This full-time field experience will be in grades 10-12. During this student teaching experience, student teachers will videotape and develop a portfolio to promote reflective practices.

Pre/corequisites: 21 graduate education credits including EDU 5020, EDU 5100, EDU 5130, EDU 5240 and content area methods/pedagogy course: EDU 5070 or EDU 5120 or EDU 5160 or EDU 5180

Corequisite

Teacher candidates must register for EDU 5520's, EDU 5580's and EDU 5590's in the same semester
