BUS 5230 Advanced Taxation

This course focuses on the importance of tax considerations in making business decisions. The principles of federal income taxation as applied to individuals, partnerships and corporations will be utilized as tools in effective tax planning and business strategy. The course begins by developing a conceptual framework for analyzing tax planning transactions and then applies these tools to various tax planning scenarios. Emphasis will be placed on research techniques applicable to tax laws and accounting standards and formal communication of findings. Concentration Course.
