MUSC 312 Orchestration & Arranging
This course provides an introduction to techniques of scoring and arranging for a variety of ensembles. Course activities will include scoring exercises for strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion, piano reductions, piano transcriptions and the creation of professional scores and parts. Additional attention will be given to arranging for choral ensembles. Students will be required to use music notation software.
