The Accounting Degree allows students to develop essential skills in analytical, conceptual, and technical proficiency in accounting. Students will learn to understand the financial world through the use of ledgers, financial statements, and budgets.
Graduates of the Accounting Program are competent in current accounting software and concepts. Program topics include computerized accounting, income tax, financial and managerial accounting. Graduates of the program are able to use specialized accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases. They are also proficient in reviewing and maintaining accounting records, invoices, and account statements. Graduates can also reconcile account statements, investigate any discrepancies, and generate financial reports.
A minimum grade of 'C' must be earned in all technical courses in the Recommended Program of Study.
