ENGR 200 Engineering Statistics and Probability

An introduction to the basic concepts of probability and statistics with specific engineering applications. Topics include probability, discrete and continuous distributions commonly used in engineering including Gaussian, binomial, Poisson, lognormal and Weibull, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression. This course has a laboratory component designed to reinforce the concepts covered in lectures, especially designing an experiment, data collection and analysis for engineering interpretation.
