EMGT 311 Design of Engineering Operations
The students will design an engineering operations facility by applying fundamental engineering concepts in a constrained environment.This course introduces students to the basic concepts of managing and controlling engineering systems. Elements of this course include Occupational Safety and Health, LEAN principles, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, facilities sustainment, the integration of manufacturing equipment, training programs, IT system defense measures, and identifying production and performance errors. These elements require a dedicated emphasis from the engineering manager.
