A. Advising and Counseling

A. Advising and Counseling

(1)           General Advising. The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs advises students regarding registration and graduation requirements. In addition, students will be assigned a faculty member for advising. Faculty members will be accessible to students through regular office hours and email communications.

(2)           Professional Development. The Assistant Dean of Student Development and Practice counsels students regarding career and professional development.

(3)           Academic Success. All incoming 1Ls are required to participate in mandatory counseling with the Associate Dean for Academic Success and Bar Prep during both semesters of the first year. Failure to complete successful counseling may result in an advising hold that must be cleared by the Associate Dean for Academic Success and Bar Prep before students can be registered for courses in the succeeding semester.
