CSD 550 Externship in Speech-Language Pathology
A capstone experience as full-time (30-40 hours per week depending on site) clinical experience in speech-language pathology. Students are expected to demonstrate increasing independence in the provision of diagnostic and therapeutic services in a clinical setting. Students who are not enrolled in the Thesis option will enroll for 4 credits of
CSD 550. Students who are enrolled in the Thesis option (
CSD-552) will enroll for 2 credits of
CSD 550. NOTE: All services provided by students will continue to be supervised in accordance with regulations pertinent to each site and as determined by ASHA.
Prerequisite
Must have completed CSD-517 and CSD-528 before completing externship.
