SOC 332 Media and Crime
This course will explore the relationship between the mass media and the criminal justice system. Students will study this relationship from both a practical and theoretical perspective. The mass media is very influential in shaping our "reality" of the criminal justice system, specifically our images of offenders and victims as well as our image of the criminal justice process. This course will allow students the opportunity to explore the relationship through the completion of an integrated service project relevant to the course material.
