MUS 116 Singer's Diction I
2.5 hours per week. Required for voice majors in the BM, BFA, and BME degrees. A laboratory course in the sung pronunciation of Italian, and English song repertory and arias. Phonetic aspects of language are approached through use of the International Phonetic Alphabet. Recommended for students with voice as their principal applied area in the BA and BS degrees.
