EE 321 Digital II

In this course the student will build on the basic digital components introduced and mastered in Digital I. Using this knowledge, new components such as; Multiplexers, Decoders, Encoders, D/A and A/D convertors, Oscillators and PIC microcontrollers will be introduced, and be combined, to make ever more complex circuits. A basic theory of each component will be discussed. An analysis will be completed, both theoretically, and using simulation tools. A semester long project design of a Digital Signal Processor (using the PIC microcontroller) will be used to tie the concepts discussed in the course to a physical design. Prereq: EE 222
