PPOL 541 Public Policy Analysis

This course introduces a suite of basic principles and approaches (qualitative and quantitative) to understand policy problems, analyze policy outcomes, and suggest recommendations for policy makers. The goal is to prepare students to evaluate the performance of a variety of policy instruments such as regulations, subsidies, taxes, and markets. Topics such as the environment, transportation, and education will be used to illustrate the application of course elements.
