EDU 518 Methods of Teaching Elem Language Arts
This language arts course is designed to assist in planning for teaching with a languageperspective based on the research behind language. Emphasis is placed on teaching communication skills to diverse learners, including ESOL and ESE students: and integrating the listening, speaking, reading, andwriting skills to include a diverse elementaryschool student population. Involvement includesexperiencing, creating and refining whole languageactivities. Strategies to connect whole languagewith other subjects in elementary curriculum andinfuse interactive technology are explored.
