BIOL 190 Biological Unity
This course will introduce students to the atomic, molecular, and cellular levels of life as we know it. The structures and functions of biological macromolecules and the cell will see the initial foundation of this course. This knowledge will then be coupled to the principles of basic bioenergetics to explain cellular respiration before concluding with the principles of storing and transmitting genetic information. The unity of these principles across organisms provides a basis for understanding life's most defining characteristics.
