IS 304 The Caribbean
A regional study of the peoples of the Caribbeanislands in terms of their historical background,contemporary domestic and foreign affairs, andcultural characteristics. This area study includesits geographical setting, social, political, andeconomic development and institutions, religiousbeliefs, artistic forms, and literary expression.Emphasis is on the diverse heritage of racial,ethnic, and cultural traditions, and the resultingconflicts and creative contributions of theregion.
