HUM 385 Culture, Science & Technology

An examination of the impact of science andtechnology on selected cultures as reflected insuch areas as literature, religion, philosophy,the visual arts, music, and social history.Materials studied typically include Westernhumanistic works from historical periods such asthe Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, theEnlightenment, and the nineteenth century, aswell as more recent examples from the twentiethand twenty-first centuries. No background inscience is necessary.
