Theories and concepts related to childbearing families are presented within the framework of the nursing process. Emphasis is on the professional nursing roles with the family experiencing pregnancy, delivery and neonatal care. Conditions related to the high-risk childbearing family are explored. Critically examines issues and controversies associated with the childbearing family.
