NURS 4180 Family and Community Nursing Care
Analysis of selected theories and concepts that facilitate the study of the family as an integral part of the client community. Includes a review of principles and concepts of epidemiology, biostatistics and demographics. Discussion of the nursing process for family and community care with emphasis on health promotion and social determinants of well-being. Study of the nursing professional role in safety, disaster preparedness and climate effects on families and communities. Includes ethical-legal concepts, diversity, equity and inclusion.
