MATH 7220 Advanced Algebra
Analysis of advanced developments in the area of algebra and its applications; of the category theory and universal algebra approach. Emphasis on the theory of continuous groups, the representation of groups as transformations in linear spaces, measures in continuous groups and the algebras associated with groups. It includes topics on the use of algebraic computing systems.
