Analysis of the application of biotechnology in the improvement of plants of economic interest to increase the characteristics of high value. Integration and application of the fundamental concepts of plant regeneration and micropropagation, molecular biology, genetic engineering, genetic expression, progeny evaluation, gene cloning, and resistance to various parameters that generate stress in plants. Emphasis on the search for solutions to various challenges in crop improvement through biotechnology. Study of innovative techniques to improve the productivity and sustainability of crops. Requires 30 hours of conference and 45 hours of laboratory.
