PHAR 2210 Commercial Pharmacy
Study of the practical aspects of the functions of the technician in a commercial pharmacy. Includes the purchase and organization of medicines, inventory, medical plans, the manufacturers, the commercial and generic name of drugs, as well as the handling and legal aspects related to controlled products. Application of the computer in the pharmacy and the commercial software used in the prescription processing. Requires 30 hours of lecture and 45 hours of lab.
