BIOT 4900 Genomic Transformation for The Improvement of Crops
Analysis of the genetic techniques associated with the transformation of plants for the improvement of agricultural products and the control of pests. Emphasis in the study of the theoretical and practical foundations in the propagation of vegetable crops and current biotechnological strategies. Comparison of organic products with those generated by transformation. Requires 45 hours of lecture and 45 hours of closed laboratory.
