BIOT 7230 Agricultural Biotechnology
Analysis of the current state of crop biotechnology, applications of cisgenesis and transgenesis, as well as of the innovation involved in the approaches of genetic modification and its application in plants. Emphasis on the analysis of advanced regulations applied to plant improvement, cisgenic development, biodiesel production using oil crops, used oils and algae. Integration of the most outstanding characteristics, differences between transgenic and cisgenic, the impact of germplasm of transgenic plants on agriculture and reforestation. Requires 30 hours of conference and 45 hours of laboratory.
