SPAN 335 El Cine Hipanico
In this course, students will analyze several representative films from Spain, Latin America, and the U.S. by such directors as Bunuel, Almodovar, Gutierrez Alea, Littin, Bemberg, and Solas. Guillermo del Toro, Alfonso Cuarón, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Robert Rodriguez, Gregory Nava, Pilar Miró, Iciar Bollaín. All films will be studied as social, historical, and cultural texts. Taught in Spanish.

SPAN 203 OR Spanish faculty approval.
