SCIE 302 Pathophysiology and Pharmacology II
Focuses on disease processes and pharmacological treatments from a physiologic and developmental perspective. The pathophysiologic content addresses mechanisms of disease, etiology, clinical manifestations, analyses of laboratory data, and primary medical and surgical interventions. The pharmacological interventions are grounded in the physiology and pathophysiology of disorders, including the mechanism of action, use, administration, adverse effects, contraindications, interactions, and specific care considerations. Offered fall and spring semesters. Successful completion of SCIE 301 Pathophysiology & Pharmacology required in order to progress to SCIE 302. Prerequisites: BIOL 206, BIOL 207, CHEM 105 OR CHEM 107, CHEM 107L OR CHEM 108, CHEM 108L OR CHEM 109, SCIE 144, AND NURS 134.
