CCMF 6356 Cultural and Community Counseling

This seminar is designed to sensitize students to the roles of societal power disparities, therapist's racial identity and awareness, and client/cultural identity play in counseling persons of diverse backgrounds. The dynamics of counseling clients who are African-American, Asian-American, Latino/a, Native American, gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender, and persons with disabilities will be examined.
