POLS 3312 Law and Politics in Film
A study of how films have portrayed, exposed, and shaped American legal and political institutions and culture. This course includes an examination of how films capture beliefs as well as misconceptions about politics, politicians, lawyers, and the law. It will include a critical analysis of the way in which lawyers andpoliticians are portrayed in popular culture, and how that portrayal affects politics and the legal profession. Specific legal, ethical, andpolitical issues raised in the films arediscussed and analyzed.
