Upon completion of this course, the student will:

  1. Apply theoretical knowledge necessary to develop plans of care that address patient needs.
    1. Describe components of anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and growth and development when formulating a plan of care for an individual patient.
    2. Recognize nutritional needs of patients through individualized assessments.
    3. Explain pharmacologic principles relevant to the care of a patient.
    4. Prepare nursing plans of care based on relevant theoretical knowledge.
  2. Recognize components of clinical reasoning that are necessary in the provision of patient care.

    2. Discuss the necessity of a spirit of inquiry in professional nursing.

The grade will be determined using the Delaware Tech grading system:

90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
0-69 = F
