NUR 139 Medical Surgical Nursing

This course defines the role of the practical nurse as a provider of care and member within the discipline of nursing. The increased complexity of critical thinking in the nursing process prepares the practical nursing student for entry into a medical-surgical nursing practice. Concepts of promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health in caring for adults in the acute care and community settings are integrated.
