CHIS 107 World History to 1500
This course is an introduction to origins and development of the major world societies through the post-classical period. Major topics include the changing status of women, the origins and spread of world religions, the nature and results of cross-cultural encounters, different approaches to understanding the human relationship to the natural world, and the various factors behind the decline and collapse of civilizations.
