MPAS 605 Pharmacology I

This course introduces students to the science of pharmacology and the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in the management of hematologic, oncologic, infectious, dermatologic, and pulmonary diseases and disorders. Topics include items such as black box warnings, indications, contraindications, cautions, dosing, drug interactions, adverse reactions, safety, monitoring, drug classes, drug elimination, and mechanisms of action of commonly prescribed medications used in the treatment of these diseases and disorders.
