ENGR 220 Engineering in the Ancient World

This course explores the nature and development of engineering in the ancient world. Emphasis will be placed on the Greek and Roman era. Topics covered will include development of construction techniques, architecture, urban planning, transportation and simple machines. A study abroad trip is a required component of the course.
