Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, AAS
Program Description
The Tribal Historic Preservation Officer AAS is intended to provide a culturally and academically sound program to train highly skilled professionals working for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribal Historic Preservation Offices. The student will assist in the preservation of historic and important cultural properties and artifacts. Observational and technical skills utilized by professional archaeologists are taught in order to ensure accurate site surveys and culturally-sensitive treatment of artifacts and properties. The student will professionally communicate the results of the site survey.
