HEVO 1023 Introduction to Earth Moving
Provides an overview of basic heavy equipment along with the different models, applications, and common attachments. Includes basic instruction for the safe operation and preventive maintenance on each type of equipment including proper mounting, start-up procedures, and basic movements of the machine, and its attachments. Covers identification of construction stakes and interpretation of marks on each type of stake. Covers instruction on controlling surface water and ground water on a job site. Teaches the basic process of grading construction sites, distance measuring, and finish grades.
