FRTY 2411 Forest Products and Timber Harvesting
The various methods and reasons for choosing a harvesting system are discussed along with environmental impacts on the sites utilizing the Best Management Practices (BMP) for Forestry, the forest products manufactured in Louisiana, the process utilized in their manufacturing, and the identification of wood utilized in these processes. Laboratory field trips are taken to harvesting operations for firsthand observation and study. (2/2/4)
