EDUC 515 Foundations of ENL: Theories, Laws & Processes

Survey of theories of learning and teaching English as a second/foreign/international language. Focus is on current theories and their implications for practice. Engages students in foundational aspects of the field to prepare them for further investigation and study. An overview of various research-based theories which provide the foundation for ENL instruction, laws and state code that provide the framework for delivery of instruction, and processes designed to enhance second-language acquisition.
