ATM-135 Introduction to Astronomy & the Night Sky

An introduction to contemporary astronomy with attention to light optic visible objects. In addition to learning northern hemisphere constellations, students will learn about astronomical time and measurement,life cycles of stars, nebulae, galaxies, comets, auroras and eclipses. Details about solar system dynamics, the moon, our planets, the sun and their impact on earth's ecology and life cycles will also be discussed. In addition, basic techniques of astronomical photgraphy are covered.
