3+3 Program with Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law

The Department of Theology and Philosophy and the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law provide qualified Philosophy students an opportunity to earn a combined Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctor Degree. The Accelerated 3+3 Program allows students to complete both undergraduate degree and a law degree within six years rather than the traditional seven-year time period. Qualified students would complete the core undergraduate requirements within the first three years of study. The fourth year of undergraduate would also be the first year of law school. At the satisfactory completion of the first year of law school, the student would officially receive their BA in Philosophy. The accelerated program saves one year of college expenses and provides an accelerated entry into a professional career. Qualified students would complete the core undergraduate requirements within the first three years of study. The fourth year of undergraduate would also be the first year of law school. To qualify for the program, Philosophy students must:

  • Complete all core Arts & Sciences and the Philosophy major requirements (PHI-292, PHI-304, PHI-308, PHI-310, PHI-316, PHI-318, PHI-319, PHI-350, PHI-353, PHI-487) within the first three years of undergraduate study.
  • Achieve a minimum 3.2 UGPA.
  • Take the LSAT during their junior year and obtain a minimum score of 149.
