SW-498 CLINICAL ASSESSMENT OF CHLD MALTREAT
This course introduces students to clinical assessment of child maltreatment. Students will learn to identify, in a family context, the risk and resilience factors in children who experience trauma through physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect and mental injury. Decision-making based on such culturally-guided assessment is highlighted. This course aligns with the competencies set forth by the Florida Department of Children and Families. Co-requisite: SW 495
