A critical review of the classical theorists who developed the foundations of modern sociological theory. Specific theorists and theories to be considered: Durkheim, Spencer, Marx, Weber, structure-functionalism, conflict theory and symbolic interaction. Prerequisites: CRM 200 or SOC 201 and junior or senior status, or permission of Department Chair
